Ivy Walker (they/them) is a lighting designer (and sometimes director) based in New York, NY. They earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oklahoma City University in May 2024, where they majored in Theatrical Design & Production with an emphasis in Lighting Design and Technology and a minor in Directing.

Ivy has always loved the theatre, and began as an actor. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, they took a year off from school and worked variously as a lighting designer, assistant director, stage manager, and set designer at home in north Texas, which is when they discovered their love for lighting design. They are a passionate storyteller with a strong focus on LGBTQ+ and feminist issues and an interest in developing new works.

When Ivy isn’t working backstage in the theatre, they can usually be found in the audience of one. On the rare occasions they aren’t, they love attending concerts, listening to music, crafting/drawing, and watching the CW’s Supernatural (2005-2020).
